right-click image resize to clipboard?

What if I am composing an email, and then decide I want to insert a photo?
The photo is too big; it needs to be resized for emailing.

If I use Send To .. Mail Recipient, it resizes the image but puts it into a
new mail composition window.

If I use the Image Resizer Powertoy, it puts the resized copy of the big
file into the same folder. Which can then be dragged and dropped into the
existing email composition window. (Cut and paste doesn't work for some
reason.) Then I need to delete the small copy just made by Image Resizer.

If I use the Mail functions in a Graphics Viewer program, first I have to
load the viewer. And these programs also open up a NEW email composition
window - and sometimes they open up an email program that you don't want to
use!

Ideally, I'd like to right-click on an image, choose an image size, and copy
the resized image file to clipboard for pasting into the existing email
composition window. No need to delete the small image file. Anything like
that?

Irfanview has smtp built in, so all you need do is open an image, resize it
then hit shift+M to send it as an email using irfanview

maybe of use..
