Right Click Context Menu Help

Hi all,

I have just installed, vista 64-bit and am loving it at the minute.

I only have a few small niggles. I have installed 2 programs that I used to
use in Windows XP: imgBurn & Norton Antivirus (installed internet security
2007 with vista 64 upgrade).

With Norton AV I used to be able to right click a folder in XP and select
scan for viruses. This is no longer an option in the right click context
menu in vista. Any ideas how I can get this back?

Also I have a similar problem with imgBurn - I used to be able to right
click an .iso image and select burn with imgburn but this is no longer there
either.

If I could get this back that would be perfect, especially the antivirus
right click.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

Dump the Norton Antivirus. Known problem on Vista. Suggest the free AVG
Anti-virus. http://free.grisoft.com
AVG automatically updates and scans the computer on your schedule. You can
also manually start the check for updates and scan.

I'm having this problem under 64bit vista as well. Pissing me right off.

But tell you what I did discover, I found the menu does work, but only under
the "save as" dialogue when you download a file.

Test it out, go download any file, then use that mini browser it brings up
when you have to select a file destination, right click on a file, and bingo,
the full context menu appears. I have scan for viruses, full winrar options
and open with notepad++ come up just like they should. And they actually work
when selected too.

Just won't do it under regular explorer for some retarded reason. Only
brings up the regular right click menu.

I'm running symantec corporate antivirus, doesn't matter though, the right
click never worked before or after it was installed, so it's not that. UAC
has no efftect either if it's on or off.
