Ribbon Customiser and Floating Templates Add-ins in Word 2007

Paul Gauci

I have looked into
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/CustomizeRibbon.htm and bought the
Ribbon Customiser Add-in, as it is suggested in this page that this add-in
has been tested more than a Toolbar Add-in, which is also featured in the
page.

Unfortunately, I still have not managed to master the Ribbon Customiser -
probably because I do not have the time to study it properly, and I must
admit that I am finding it much easier to go back to Word 2003; I find the
latter's templates-cum-editable icons and floating toolbar capabilities so
efficient and time saving (by a considerable degree)

I would therefore be intersted in reading opinions regarding the Toolbar
Add-in featured in the above mentioned page, and a few tips about the Ribbon
Customiser.

I have taken the easy way out - I have gone back to 2003. Will start using
2007 when MS fix this issue properly and improve on what was available in
2003.

Well I would personally prefer to use Office 2007 together with an upgrade of
the 2003 attributes mentioned in my post.

Just skimmed through the page and it is most interesting. Presently, I have
2003 and 2007 installed in eparate computers but I will install 2003
alongside 2007 (my OS is Vista) and try the approach out.

Thanks

They don't both have to be on the *same* PC to create add-ins?
