Rewriting A website URL

I currently own http://www.careermetasearch.com when you input that url
it redirects it to
http://www.careermetasearch.com/Public/default.aspx?pb=1
this is hurting me in the search engines because it's a redirect. How
can this be rewritten?

Ted,

I don't quite understand what you are trying to do. What do you mean by
re-write the URL? Are you saying that you don't want it to go to
http://www.careermetasearch.com/Public/default.aspx?pb=1 ? If that is the
case, you need to set the default document in the root directory to have the
default functionality that you want, and not redirect to another page.
