Hey Guys - My uncle wants to revert from win2000 to win95
for space savings reasons. I have told him that there may
be serious consiquences. What are some of the more
important considerations that he needs to be aware of
[apart from the fact that win95 is no longer supported by
Microsoft]. Please help save an old man!

Forget about it !

Chances are that there are no Win95 hardware drivers for a platform that has Win2K.
As of Jan 15, 2004 - Win98 will join Win95 and in December 2004 WinME will also join Win95
and Win98.

Do him a favour -- teach your uncle how to use Win2K.

Dave

Good advice. Also, if the problem is disk space, check his system
for junk files (.DMP files, .TMP and ~*. Word files, etc). Typically
you should be able to clear off at least a few hundred MB of space.

Seems to me that it would be more advantageous to simply
add a second hard drive. The stability of Win 2K over
win 95 should be reason enough to stick to win 2K.

This is your opportunity to be generous: Give him a new hard
disk. They are dirt cheap!
