Reverting to old settings

We use a proprietary software on all the computers, which we recently
updated. On one of the computers, the settings are reverting to "old
settings". The only way to run the new version of the software is to run the
SP Security tool and restart the computer. This has to be done every day,
can anyone help me and tell me what or where I can research how to make the
:new settings" stick ??

The user probably has a corrupt user profile. It might be possible to add a
new profile, and configure it for the new settings, set a restore point,
importing the old profile data to see if it now works. If not, roll back and
rebuild everything in the new working profile.
