reversing date from 10/04/2004 to 20041004

I'd like to know how to cause a date in the cell to reverse. Fo
instance
10/04/2004 to 20041004 yyyymmdd
 
Hi Nander,

in a suitable cell enter:

=TEXT(A1,"yyyymmdd")

where A1 holds the 10/04/2004 value
 
Hi Nander,

To change the original cell, custom format as yyymmdd.
