Returning value from one file to another

I have two files. Let's call the first "File A." File A contains part numbers with various orther relevant data for each part number. Let's call the second "File B." File B contains some but not all of the same part numbers and it contains inventory quantity for each part number. I wish to have File A look into File B and find any matching part numbers and return the inventory value to File A for those that do match

Not sure if this is possible, but it sure would be a big time-saver if it is
