I would like to return my computer back to the way it was
setup, programs etc to the way it was when I purchased
it. Several family members/others have used the pc and
now I get certain error messages, which norton network
can't fix. This will give me the ability to set the pc
up with controls to insure this doesn't happen again. I
have used the hp recovery but it does not go back to the
original date, only about four months from the purchase
date. I didn't not receive a disk everything was
preloaded. Thanks for any help you can give in this
mater.

The oem (hp) must provide you with a way to bring the computer back to the
day you bought it. Usually this is with a restore cd or the restore files
hidden on the hard drive. If you don't have a restore cd then call HP
support and tell them what you'd like to do and they can tell you how.

Hi James

You should - legally - have been given a CD so that you return your PC back to the original setup. If you haven't got that disk, contact your PC supplier and demand one. Once you get your restore CD, get rid of any Norton products ASAP - they are bound to cause you problems.
