Retrieving lost PST file

S

Steve Golden

I have lost all of the information in Outlook, my e-mails,
contacts, calendar, save saved e-mails, etc.

I got a message box "Outlook cannot open the files ...
Please select from the options below. Then the options are
--Create a new personal folder file
--Open an existing personal folder file

I tried to open Windows/Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook
but it had no pst files. Can anyone help me retrieve them
or are they gone forever?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Search your hard drive for ALL pst files.

Perform a FIND (click on desktop and press <F3>)
(If you are using XP or W2K operating system be
sure to look in hidden files)
Look for *.PST files.
Make note of dates and locations of any that you find.

To bring them back into Outlook use the FILE menu
and select OPEN
then select PERSONAL FOLDERS FILE (*.pst)

This usually occurs when you have lost the connection
to the original PST (delivery point). May be caused by
either Network connection loss or deleted PST.

Have you looked in your Recycle Bin to see if it is in there?
