there is any way to retrieve this file? does it go somewhere that i can find
it?

Some retail utility packages have that ability, but it's only feasable
if the space where the file was hasn't been put back into use by the
operating system or another application. Unfortunately Windows OS
rewrites some large files every time it starts. The more the computer is
used the higher the probability the space where the file used will have
been reused. There is a very significant probability the file has been
overwriten already.

What application generated the file? Some have features which store a
backup periodicaly with a different file extension.

This may be a moot point now, but in the future when you delete something or
empty your Recycle Bin and want to recover something from it. Stop using
the computer. Your recovery chances are better if the file has not been
overwritten.

Description
[[Restore files which are deleted from the recycle bin or deleted while
holding down the Shift key by mistake. Conversely, this program has another
function that makes it almost impossible to restore all deleted files. You
can use it after deletion of confidential documents, embarrassing files and
so on.]]
