Retrieve MS Works Word Processor Document in MS Word?

I recently bought a computer that only came packaged with MS Works Word Processor. If I send a document over to somebody that only uses MS Word, will they be able to retrieve the text without any problems?

Maybe. Maybe not. It will depend on whether or not they have converters for
the flavor of .wps created by Works. If you save in RTF format, they
certainly can.
