Retrieval of "Don't show this again" screens

Hi!

No doubt, you have all seen those screens which pop up at certain times as
part of the default operation

of most programs or even of the Windows operating system itself, with an aim
to inform or warn the user

about certain features of their function.

These screens are, in essence, dialogue boxes and, as you certainly also
know, in their majority, they

contain a "Don't show this again" check box, which once it is checked, the
screen will never appear again.

Is there a way to retrieve these lost screens or are they irreversibly lost
for ever once their "Don't

show this again" check box is checked? If there is, could you please show me
how I should proceed in order

to bring back into their place all those checked and missed screens?

Thanks a lot for your attention!

I have no answer for this but I am deffinately in the same boat as Theodore,
as I would like to have the option to choose what program I want to use for
certain tasks. I try to play music or video and it takes me to the media
player. I was at one point able to choose what program did this function and
i would like that ability back. Please help!!!

To which program are you referring and have you tried to go into that
program's preferences to bring back the warning?

These are obviously application dependent. The software you are using might
have an option to show the screens once again. If not, try reinstalling the
software if it is convenient. They are all registry switches in essence
that are triggered on or off.
