RETREIVING ARCHIVED EMAILS

can anyone help!?

I bought a new computer and folled the iinstructions to archive my emails
from Outlook 2003 and put them onto disk and then transfer them onto Outlook
2007.

The problem I have now is that I cant even open the file, it says...

"The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using"

The file used to be "read only" but I unticked the box.
It asked me as to what I wanted to open the file with and obviously I
selected Outlook 07.

I really hope someone can help me out here because I have some very special
and personal emails that I have got from the past, and I dont want to loose
them...:(
