R Richard Harris Dec 8, 2003 #2 you should be able to do a force shut down from the command line (start --> run --> cmd --> enter) and then type in shutdown.exe -r and hit enter this will shut down your computer and restart it, shutdown.exe -s just shuts it down. Is this a common thing? Rich
