Hello

Is there a freeware to make sense of .dbx that got

orphaned after a reinstall of XPpro with OE6.

Try finding the new (presumably empty) .DBX files, and copy the orphaned
ones over them. You can try pretty much whatever you want if you keep
backups and are sure you can restore back to where you were.
