restricted value

How do i unrestrict a value in a cell? I've tried to
unprotect the sheet/workbook, tried formating the cell to
text.

It does not except text but will except numeric



......
 
The restriction may be caused by Data Validation. To remove it:

1. Select the cell
2. Choose Data>Validation
3. Click the Clear All button, click OK
 
Hi Renee

Maybe Data>Validation in the Menubar???
See if the cell is set to whole number or so
