restricted access in IE + windows update

I'd like to use the automatic windows update for my remote users, but
restrict their local PC access to a basic user ( I don't want to give them
local system administrator privilages to prevent them from changing the
settings as well as installing unauthorized software).

however if I'll remove them from local admin group then the automatic
windows update can't install updates. how do I deal with this?
