restrict master slide

Hi all,
When i use a pre design POT, in PP 2003 (slide design pane), i cant touch
any design object (pictures etc). How can i implement it on my organization
ppt's , so the users could not take out the logos,backrounds,font sizes and
colors etc?

If you go to View/Master, I suspect you can change anything and everything
on the pre-designed templates (POT files). You might want to read
http://www.indezine.com/products/powerpoint/ppcreatemp.html for instructions
on creating PPT templates.

There's really no way to restrict editing a template or master slide.

Hi all,

Are you certain of that? For the most part, this stuff's all editable once you
go to the master where it lives. Try View, Master, Slide Master or Title
Master (and choose the correct master if in 2002 or later). You can choose all
of the graphic elements there and modify them. Sometimes you have to ungroup
them first, sometimes they're combined into a single bitmap image, but you can
always get rid of them.

You can put stuff on the masters to keep casual users from getting at them or
convert them into bitmaps on the master so they can't easily be edited, but
that's about it.
