Restoring Short Menus

Recently I had to do a fresh install of my copy of Windows 2000. Since then
the Programs menu doesn't show as a short menu and I get every item whether
or not I've used it recently. The Office short menus seem to be OK.

Does anyone know how to get the short menus back?

Quoting the Windows 2000 Help:

"To turn on Personalized Menus, click Start, point to Settings, click
Taskbar & Start Menu, and then select Use Personalized Menus on the General
tab."

Thanks for the suggestion. Personalized Menus was already enabled. It's the
standard short menus that I'm trying to restore - these normally apply by
default but something on my PC must have upset a registry setting.

Be patient. It will start working in time.
