Restoring Search Capability

OS: XP
Browser: IE6

Spyware had gotten into my browser--I downloaded SpyHunter
and got rid of it, but now I can't use any search engine.
When I click the Search button on the address bar, try to
search from the MSN or Yahoo home page, or try to go
directly to the Google or Lycos site (I've tried all the
above), I get a "Not Found" message. It's really limiting
not to have a search engine--can somebody tell me how to
fix this?

In getting rid of the spyware, you may have corrupted your search files.
Reinstall Internet Explorer program.
