Restoring IE6 when IE6 doesn't connect to web

How can I get Win XP IE6 downloaded to my win 2000 Laptop
and stored on a CD.

The XP machine IE6 is corrupted and cannot access ethernet.

Pinging servers from xp machine works, however.


Tried downloading IE6 to my Win 2000 laptop and writing
CD, but dll problem whn trying setup on xp machine.
