restoring compacted messages in OE6

Forgive me, but I asked this in another forum before I found this one...
the software asked me if I wanted to compact and oooops I said yes and now
the contents of two important folders are gone.

Try as I have, could not figure out how to restore the contents of each.

Help please.

If you have Win2K or WinXP and haven't used the computer too much DBXpress
in disk mode should find most of them.
