Restoring An Accidentally Deleted Menu on Word program

Guest

I am using Office 2003.
I have accidentally entirely deleted one of the menus - the whole menu- the
Tools menu.
I have scoured the Help menus, and the closest thing i can find to the
porblem I have is a category heading called How To Delete Menus... great, but
there is no information at all as to how to UNDELETE any menu that has
accidentally gone missing!
I have lost my TOOLS menu on Word. I have no idea how I did it, and I have
tried and tried and asked and asked, and can not find how to restore it.
<buckets of tears>
I have done a couple of repair program options, and the last time I did it I
tried Restore All Deafults, and am now hopping mad because (a) it did not fix
my problem and (b) I have lost ALL my Outlook emails...and I only changed to
start using Microsoft outlook for my email last monday <more tears> All gone!

SURELY if there is a means on the Help meny referring to the ability to
delete a menu (Gawd knows why you'd want to), there MUST be a method to
restore any deleted menu... I need my Tools Menu - I ise it all the time!!!!
It has simply GONE.
(

PLEASE does anyone know what I'm on about, and do any of them have an
answer???????

Much appreciated if you can, I cannot afford the Kleenex I am going through.

Right-click any toolbar. Select Customize. Select the Toolbars tab on the
Customize dialog. Select 'Standard' in the list of toolbars. Click the
'Reset' button.

I doubt that you deleted the toolbar. I suspect you just turned it off. Try
View|Toolbars - Customise. Try Reset Menu and Toolbar Usage Data.

I can't help you with the Outlook issue.

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/RestoreMenuCmd.htm. In this
case, you need to select the Built-in Menus category in the Customize
dialog, select Tools, and drag it back to the menu bar.

Note that although the dialog is often referred to as Tools | Customize,
there are many other ways to get there:

1. View | Toolbars | Customize

2. Right-click on any toolbar or the menu bar and choose Customize.

3. Click on the arrow at the end of any toolbar and choose Add or Remove
Buttons | Customize.

4. (My favorite) Double-click on the empty space beyond the end of any
toolbar.
