I saved my files under 98SE and now I can not resore
those files in my XP operting system. Can anyone help me?

While NTBackup does not recognize the MSBackup .QIC files, try the utility
here for that, it has a 30 day free trail. Link courtesy of MVP Harry Ohrn:

Ntbackup will not recognize the file compression used by Win98's msbackup.
Download the 30 day trial of Backup MyPC from www.stompinc.com will work.
Backup MyPC is actually the Veritas Backup Exec app that the Windows Backup
programs are based on so it will open and restore .QIC files.
