restore response buttons on currently-viewed message window

I am using Outlook 2000. In the past, when I was viewing a message in its
own window, I would see response buttons along the top (reply, forward,
etc.). These buttons no longer appear. Any suggestions on how to get these
buttons back (the buttons still appear when I am viewing a folder, just not
when I am looking at an individual message).

Open the message, right click your tool bar and make sure you have Standard
ticked. If it is ticked, click on Customize then highlight Standard and
click on Reset and OK then Close.
