restore .pst from old comp access denied not have permission?

I am trying to restore outlook email contacts from a .pst file from an old
computer but get the message: access denied you do not have permission: Can
anyone help please

You would need to provide some information first.
List your versions, the precise steps you used, and the precise error
message.
 
Are you trying to restore from a PST file on a CD? If so, you'll have to
copy the PST file to your hard drive then remove the read-only attribute
from the file before trying to import or open it.
