Restore Point

Can't creat a restore point. Have followed all of the Knowledge article
procedures and doesn't work. Replaced old maxed out H/D with a new one and
put old one on as slave on Port one. Everthing works OK(Boot,Data Access,
etc) eccept in System restore panel, still shows Old Drive (Now D, as the
system drive. Is that the problem and if Yes, how do i fix?

Warning: Reinstalling System Restore will delete all existing restore
points.

Go to Start - Run and type %Windir%\INF then press enter.

In Windows Explorer go to Tools - Folder Options - View Tab and uncheck
"Hide extensions for known file types".

Find the sr.inf file, right click on it and select Install.

If that doesn't work go to Start>Control Panel>Administrative
Tools>Services>System Restore Service>and be

sure the Status indicates Started and Startup Type indicates Automatic. If
not, Right click on System Restore

Service>Properties and change Settings accordingly.

If it still doesn't work open Services again and be sure that both Remote
Procedure Call (RPC)'s indicate Started

and Automatic, as System Restore is Dependent upon these Services. Change
accordingly if necessary.

Hopefully you have your SR back.
