Restore missing "Safely Remove hardware" icon

My system works OK, and I can get to the "safely remove hardware" through the
Properties but the icon does not appear in the tray. How can i restore the
icon? Is there a service, process I need to insure is started?

Go to Start > Run and type (or copy and paste):

C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll

and hit enter.

That works like the Properties, but does not yield the icon in the tray, to
make life easiest. Thank you for trying.
