I have XP Home on 1st primary drive and Win2000 at 2nd slave.
I plan to add a SCSI drive and install XP Pro to it and remove the
existing primary drive XP home.
Should I move the slave Win2000 drive to be the primary HD?

Does these steps look okay?

1. remove 10G XP home primary drive
2. move the 2nd Win2000 slave to the primary drive
3. test the win2000 OS, do I need the Win2000 CD here?

4. install the SCSI 74G drive
5. install XP pro on SCSI drive

Thanks

just plug in the SCSI drive and run setup. Early on in setup press F6 to
add your SCSI drivers and adaptor drivers if applicable these need to be on
a floppy disk Setup will give the option to format and install xp to any
drive connected and recognized (go by size to identify drive). Remember
setup will reboot after copying files and you need to be ready to switch
the boot priority from CD or floppy to the drive your installing to or else
setup may run again or, you may get the next bootable device in the boot
sequence depending on how your BIOS handles it. Also you will have to
enable the scsi controller in BIOS if its integrated to the motherboard.
