Restore and .BIN file.....

Hello All,

I had to do a system restore a couple of days ago and ran into this
problem. I use an old obsolete checking account register
program,(Personal Finances 2000) and after the restore, my checkbook
register was magically transformed into a .BIN file. I have all this
year's stuff on it and recently accidentally erased the CD-RW disk
backup. It will be a huge pain in the a** to recreate the data .Which
of course I meant to do a new backup of, but alas I did not. Any way
to restore the .BIN file?
Thanks!
Sleepy

This is a long shot but you might try to rename it
and give it the correct suffix.

Thanks for the reply gls. Problem is, it was one of those wierd
extensions that I honestly forgot. Ya I know, pretty dumb, eh?

Cheers,
Sleepy

Just create a new test file and see what suffix that the program uses
then delete the file and rename the old one exactly like the test file.
