restore after changing raid card

i have a customer that has changed the raid card in their
system. rebuilt the array, installed 2000 adv srv then
tried to run a system state restore. the options for
active directory etc. are greyed out and wont run. do i
need to get them the same raid card to replace the
original or do they need to alter some registry keys for
the restore to run?

Hi Karl,

It should still allow you to restore the system state even on different
hardware (to a point - see articles for details).

Are you checking the system state check box or trying to check active
directory individually? You can't select/restore just one of the items in
the system state - you have to restore everything (at least when using the
included Backup utility to backup/restore the server).
