Restore active desktop

I cannot find the way to restore the "right-click" on the desktop to get to
properties. The help KB is dated and does not refer to what WinXP SP2 looks
like. How can I restore the active desktop on my laptop?

Try
Start - Settings - Control Panel - Display
on the Desktop tab click "Customize Desktop..." and uncheck the page
currently used.

On the Web tab of customize desktop, the name of the display web page is ->
My Current Home Page

But the box is not selected.
Any suggestions?

Maybe try selecting it and apply the changes, then deselect it and
apply again.
