Restart request forever

Some weeks ago, some unknown program began to tell me to restart my computer
in order to make the update work. Answering "yes" led to a restart followed
by a new restart message. This seems to be repeated for ever. Answering "no"
did not lead to any consequences.
Today, when I updated my Norman antivirus software, Norman also started the
same never ending story. The antivirus update seems never to be complete.

Can anyone guess what has happened, and give som piece of advice?

The problem is that I don't know which application that has opened the first
restart window. And there are more than one application on the cleaning
utility list that I don't recognize.

You migfht want to try Process Explorer to identify the installs.
