My office is experience issues with our computers
restarting on their own for no apparent reason. It happens
in various programs. We also can't limit it to any
specific shared drive. Computers have been replaced and
new profiles established on the servers without helping
the problem. The restart on sytem fault option was
disables so we now get the blue screen with a physical
memory dump error. Our IT support guys are at a loss as
tot the problem and I need a resolution. If anyone has
any suggestions I would appreciate it.

There has be something in common with the computers that
are having the problem.

Questions:

Do ALL PCs crash or only some? What is the differece on
the ones that don't crash vs. the ones that do?

Do you have current anti-virus software running on your
PCs and servers.

What version of Windows 2000 (are you running SP4 or SP3
or what?)

If they were not crashing before, what changed or what
happened from the time the PCs worked and then the problem
started? Did you get new or updated software somewhere?
Do you upgrade or change something?

There are debugging tools for memory dump errors:

Posting the error message probably the best place to start. Folks here
need to see whats causing the crash before they can suggest a solution.
