Hello all!

Since I got my computer I got the problem of the computer restarting by
itself.

When I first installed it, the Intel chipset drivers didn't work well with
my Nvidia FX5200 drivers.

So I changed all the Chipset Drivers to Microsoft.

But the problem still persists.

It's been going on like that for over a year.

Does anyone know a solution to that problem?

Best,
Ofir.

Hi,

I think you haven't install the VGA drivers for your mobo and that why you
have problems with the nvidia drivers.

First, disable the auto-restart feature in XP.
Right click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Startup and Recovery/,
Click the Setting button, uncheck the box "Automatically restart" in the
System failure area,
click OK, reboot the PC.

You'll receive a BSOD instead of the auto restart.
Pls post back the warning messages to NG so that someone may help you.

BTW, you should use the chipset drivers from the mobo manufacturer's website.
What is the brand and model of your mobo?

Remove any PCI card directly below the AGP card. Also, remove the last PCI
card (furthest from the AGP slot). Both usually share the IRQ with the AGP
slot.
