After installing (Windows XP home edition) SP2 on my HP Pavilion a642n a
restart problem began. When restart is pressed windows seems to shut down
properly but the computer will not power down and power back up. I must hold
the power button in to power down the computer. If I remove SP2 everything
works fine.
I do not have any problem with a normal shut down, that works just great.
It is only when I try using restart.
