Hello,

Can someone provide guidance on how to calculate reponse rates inside of
Outlook? (for '03 and '07).

Thank you!
James

Can you please define what you mean by response rates and also by "inside of"
Outlook.

Sorry for the confusion. When I reply to an email, I would like to see the
response time calculated and/or stored between when the email was received
and when a response was sent. In other words, ensuring that an email is
responded to within a certain time-frame.

Wouldn't the recipient's reply time-stamp compared to the timestamp on the
email being replied to (yours) be sufficient?

You can't really guarantee when an email is received since you can't control
how many servers it goes through to get to its destination once it leaves
your mail server. You could ask for a read receipt but newer Outlook clients
allow the recipient to disallow them and many servers no longer process read
receipts.

I don't believe that Outlook can do this natively. You could try calculating
using VB but since you can't control how long an email takes to get to its
recipient nor can you guarantee finding out exactly when they received/read
it, I'm not sure how you can work this out.

Check out slipstick.com to see if you can find any further information.
