Resolution reverts back after restart

Hi all

Strange one that I have never seen before. We have a user who a high
resolution when working and everything works fine. However when ever the PC
is restarted the resolution reverts back to 1280x960. He can change it back
to his preferred higher resolution no problem but he has to do this everry
time he turnes on/ restarts the PC.

Has anyone come accross this before ? and if so how did you fix it ? The
pc is a brand new HP/Compaq Evo D530 with a compaq 19" screen.

Appreciate any help on this topic.

Got solution, it was hardware specific and HP had an update to solve the
problem
