Resizing of form window when going from "Overlapping" to "Tabbed"

I'm using Inside Out Access 2007 as a tutorial guide to get a better
understanding of Access 2007. It's great, but there's one thing I cannot
master:
when going from "Overlapping Windows" to "Tabbed" once the database reopens
and I click my forms, all the forms automatically resize to full screen. No
matter which option I choose in the forms' properties, the form window always
'adapts' itself to full screen. So my neat-fitting constructed forms look
quite pompous when using Tabbed display mode.
I encounter the problem not only with the self constructed forms, but also
in applying the professional forms of the above mentioned book.

Tx for your help.

That's the way tabbed documents interface works, all forms are maximized
unless the Popup property is set to True.
