resizing objects in ppt2007

I am having an issue with the resizing of shapes in ppt2007. I find that I
cannot accurately resize, say, a box, even though "snap to grid" and "snap
to other objects" is turned off. Is there something else I need to do to
be able to do this?

What's keeping you from accurately resizing a shape? Is it snapping to the
wrong place, or is it difficult to tell where the crosshairs are when you
let go, or what? Are you trying to match the size of another shape? (We
can't see what you're doing there, so we need your details....)

You can input the size into the size and position chunk on the drawing tools
menu (or right-click and choose Size and Position) if you want to do it "by
the numbers."

Well, darn, it all works fine now. Earlier, even after I turned off all the
"snap to" options, if I grabbed and dragged one of the handles in the middle
of a side, it snapped to a larger size. I've closed and reopened the file
since I first wrote. It's all good now - go figure. Thanks though.

Ah, yes, the mysteries of computing. :)

Glad to hear it's working now, anyway.
