Resize Utility

I was pleased to learn about the free utility available from Mircosoft to downsize/resize image files, individually and in batches, so I downloaded it from Powertoys on the website and installed it.

No luck: Right-clicking on one or more files as instructed doesn't show a resize/downsize option in the menu as promised. (I can see it where it's supposed to be within the Windows folders -- but it just won't work.

Like sex and air, a handy utility like this one becomes much more precious when I can't get it. Is anyone able to help me satisfy my lust for a resizer by getting this toy to work? If not, does anyone know of another such freeware/shareware utility

Thanks for any help

To get the Resize option on your right click menu do the following.
Click on Start, click on Run and type the following in the opening textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key.
Note that there is a space between ...32 and SHI...
You will get a brief message and then try right click on a photo again.

A very sexy and free photo editing software that will batch resize and will
work the first time is here:
