Resize popup form

Hello All
I have a popup form that I cannot resize. I have set the Auto Resize and
Auto Centre both to 'No', but still when I size the form to what I want,
then go to design view and save then close, when I reopen the form it
reverts to the previous size. I have previously succeeded in getting the
size and poition that I want, but for the life of me I cannot see why this
has worked in the past but not now.
Hope someone can help
Many thanks

Are you completely closing and then reopening?. AutoCenter and AutoResize do
not apply when going from design view to normal view.

Hello Rick
Thanks for your reply.
I am going from normal (form) view, doing thje resize, then going to design
view, then saving, then closing the form, then reopening the form. Is this
the wrong way: I can't think of another way!

After going to design view change something harmless like make a label 1
tick wider and then save. See if that makes a difference.

Thanks for the suggestion ... but I have tried that and it made no
difference!
I am beginning to suspect a bug of some sort, because the success (rare) or
failure (common) of the resize seems to be unpredictable, and not dependent
on anything else (that I can see). If you have any other thoughts I would be
very interested to know.
Many thanks

Is this a continuous form? I have seen continuous forms where the size
seems to want to jump in "size of one row" increments.

I've incurred this problem too -- resizing a pop-up and repositioning it to
satisfy my needs, then losing the settings next time I open it. I found the
solution that so far has never failed me by simply doing a Ctrl+S (i.e.
simply saving it immediately before closing the pop-up. Here is the
environment in which this works for me.

I use pop-ups in either menu forms or data entry forms to advise the user of
something. So, after designing the pop-up form, I test it by opening either
a menu or data entry from where the pop-up comand button is located, then
click on this command button to open the pop-up. I resize it as desired and
reposition it as needed. Then I save it (Ctrl+S). Then close the pop-up
form. I reopen it to verify my save, and the pop-up goes in exactly the
place I want it and it's sized as I want it to be. If I re-design the
contents (in design view) of my pop-up form, such as enlarging it with new
fields (displaying data) or in the case of displaying a message (adding more
text to my message), I will have to go through the same steps of resizing and
repositioning the pop-up again and saving it with the Ctrol+S.

I wonder if this might help in your situation, or is your situation entirely
different?

I thought I had provided an answer earlier, but apparently it didn't go
through. I assume you mean the Pop-up forms, not the principal forms where
the command button to open the pop-up is located. The pop-ups can be either
single form (such as providing a simple message or piece of information) or a
continuous form (providing rows/records of data).

Many thanks for your suggestion: Ctrl-S works a treat!

I hope you get this message - even though it's a couple of weeks since your
posting!

Many thanks
Les
