Hello all,
I have been a user of Windows since the good old version 3.1.

I have come across an issue that is most perplexing to me. I must have
accidentally hit a hotkey that removes the "border" around the left,
right, and bottom of windows that allow the dragging and resizing of
them. I can only maximize, restore, and minimize. That is all. If
anyone can help me get this small problem fixed, it would be most
helpful! I believe I hit a key/key combination somewhere in the F1-F4
or ~ to btn 4 area. Yes, it is most perplexing and I have never run
into anything like this before.

Thanks in advance!!!!!!!

Did you mean that you are not able to resize Windows? Is this is with every
application or particular one? Are you able to resize Windows through Top
menu above the File menu?

Try this shortcut ALT+SPACE+S key and see if the resize arrow comes up.

Let us know!

Yes, the resize arrow comes up and I am able to resize the windows. I
should also have mentioned that this problem is not with a particular
application, but with every open window/program open. Even like My
Documents, My Computer, Internet Explorer, an open folder, etc.
Everything.

This is most perplexing. I am afraid to do a system restore because I
don't know if basic settings like that will get changed.

Thanks for the help!!!

Yes, it worked. I was using a Stardock theme, but is has never did
anything like this before. I like I said, I accidentally hit a bad
hotkey or something. Thanks for the help!!!! :)

Have you checked the width of the "active window border" in the display properties?
Right-mouse click on the desktop - choose properties from the menu.
Then click on the "Appearance" tab. Then click on the "Advanced" button.
In the "item" windows scroll to the "active window border". The setting should be at least one (1)
pixel wide and a contrasting color to the background.

Wait, still not working. It apparently is isolated to the Stardock
Suites manager themes. And yes, I did check the window border size and
it is set to "1" as default. This is really weird. I would like to know
what that hotkey was tho...

Use the Default Windows XP Theme. Find the Shortcut key in your Stardoc
Suites Manager or uninstall it. See if this solves the problem then make a
reinstall of that program.

Hope this help, let us know!

It worked! Sorry for the delay, but it took a while to get everything
setup again! Thanks!!!
