I used Partition Magic to resize my C:/ drive and everything went well,
however, upon finishing the process, Windows said it detected new hardware
and installed the drivers. Since I didn't install any hardwaree, I wonder
what this meant. All I did was resize the partition. Is there a log kept by
windows that keeps track of these things that I might review. Thank you

Hi Bill,

This is nothing to be concerned about, I have seen this before. The
"Found new hardware" message is most likely triggered by the creation
of a new drive letter.

In addition, you could look through the Event Viewer for a log of
partition change.

Go to Start - Run, and type eventvwr.msc then press enter.

Thak you very much

I typed what you said, but Windows said it this was not available. I have
WinXP-Home, SP2

Try getting to the Event Viewer this way:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and
Maintenance, then click Administrative Tools, and then double-click
Computer Management. Or, open the MMC containing the Event Viewer
snap-in.
2. In the console tree, click Event Viewer.
