Resetting hit counter

Every time i edit my banner the counter resets to 0. I right click on the
component and reset it to the previous number yet it doesn't accept my
number. Can someone please help me with this?

Open the remote or "live" site and reset it there.

On your hosted web site, look for a file that is the exact same name as the
file that holds the counter except this file will end in .cnt. This file
holds the number for the hit counter and you can simply enter what number
you want.
