Reset Monitor to LCD

My Monitor is Benq FP222W LCD and operating system is Windows Vista Home
Premium. Recently I have down loaded a Windows Hardware update (Benq – other
Hardware – Benq FP 222w (Analog) and installed it. After the installation of
Windows update the picture quality has reduced and when I check my Monitor
through Device Manager it’s shows Monitor as Benq FP222w (Analog).

I tried to run System Restore but it is not working since this update.
Device manager – Advance settings – Display devices listed the Monitor as
CRT. Windows update – View update history shows the update as successful.
When I tried to use uninstalled an update, the update is not showing there
for some reason. The roll back driver is also not working. I also tried to
run installation CD with LCD drivers but it is not running saying that
drivers are up to date. Can someone please help me uninstall the Windows
hardware update and reset my Monitor to LCD.

RAJIV7,

Right click an empty space on the Desktop, select Personalize and then
select Display Settings. There, check Identify Monitor, Resolution, Colors,
and also those settings under the Advanced button. Make any changes you
determine need changing.
If these steps don't lead to a resolution of the problem, post back and
perhaps someone will have additional troubleshooting ideas.
