Reserved Error -1517

I get this error opening a table in datasheet view.
It says 'there is no message for this error' - not very
helpful!

This table has one record in it that I added in datasheet
view. I do notice that the autonumber key is blank.

What could have happened and how to get past this error?
 
Answered in another group (I think tablesdbdesign, but not sure). Please
don't multi-post. If you feel that more than one group is necessary, then
cross-post i.e. post a single message, addressed to more than one group.
