Requiring login values

Hello experts,

I have a simple network of 6 machines (all xp w/sp2). Machines #1 through #4
are work stations. Then I have set up 2 machines as basic file servers called
FileServer1 and FileServer2.

Currently, each machine can see all other machines on the network (including
the 2 file servers). So, up to that point, I think I have everything running
great. But, now I am stuck on how to do a few things on these machines:

Firstly...how do I set it up so that work stations can "see" FileServer #2,
but cannot log on to it (in other words, if they clicked on FileServer#2 in
their Explorer, they would get a logon-screen).

Then how do I get it set up so each workstation cannot see another.. (in
other words, a workstation can only see FileServer #1, can see FileServer#2
but cannot logon (without the pswd) but can NOT see other workstations.


I'm still working my way through the help files, but haven't found this yet.
I'm sure it's something quite simple. But, I'm hoping you experts out there
can offer some help.

Set up identical account on each workstation machine.
Deny them network logon on both machines.
Set up the same again on the "fileservers" and ALLOW them network logon
(default).

If you have a domain server, it's similar, BUT, if you do, then an admin
would know what to do.

Hello Uncle Kenny

Thanks for the instructions. I have set up the workstations with identical
accounts. Somewhere along the line, I must have messed something up. Oddest
thing... on one machine, it does what I want it to do (can only get a logon
screen to the server). But, on the other machine, it lets me right in on all
the FileServers (1 and 2). Surely there's a little "checkmark" or something I
have missed, but I can't seem to find it (maybe too many hours on the
machines? LOL). Perhaps you have a little insight as to what I am missing?
