Require free webspace and free domain name?

C

CrackerJack

I need to ask for your advice.

I would like to use approx 50 MB of webspace for free. My ISP
provides free webspace but if I change ISP then I will lose the
webspace.

Visitors who return to the old URL will get nothing but 404.

How can I get:

(1) Free webspace on a server that is independent from my ISP? Of
course I need to be able to upload to it.

(2) A domain name (preferably at no charge) which I can own. Then
I need some way of re-directing people who go to that URL.

Can anyone please help me out here.

You can't.........

You can however, get domains names that the supplier owns;

www.dot.tk
www.cjb.net

1) there are enough Free webspace hosters out there:
Seek your free pick at http://66.226.99.33/search/power.shtml

2) A domain name at no charge is more difficult. This can only be done if
You don't mind a subdomainname
(for example http://www.eu.org/ gives out free
<WhateverYouWant>.<countrycode>.eu.org domain names of witch you are in
charge - but do NOT own) There others, but you'll have to google for
yourself.

*AND*

you need a hosting provider who adds an IP adress to your hosting account.
As far as I know, this is only possible with a:
1) paid website provider (Fixed ip adresses are scarce)
2) DSL or cable connection (hosting the website yourself) with a fixed IP
adress.
By the way: this last option might be illegal (check your ISP for more info)

But if you want to choose your Domain name compleetly free or want a
hostprovider without adds, you will have to pay up.
